Info for Gracias a la vida
With the album "Gracias a la Vida", named after the famous song by Chilean composer Violeta Parra, the Argentinian ensemble La Chimera pays homage to the peoples of Latin America, particularly Bolivia, Peru, Chile and Argentina, through a musical journey tracing an obvious filiation between glittering baroque pieces from colonial times and famous popular songs of today.
Con el álbum "Gracias a la Vida", que lleva el nombre de la famosa canción de la compositora chilena Violeta Parra, el conjunto argentino La Chimera rinde homenaje a los pueblos de América Latina, en particular Bolivia, Perú, Chile y Argentina, a través de un recorrido musical que traza una obvia filiación entre brillantes piezas barrocas de la época colonial y famosas canciones populares de hoy.
