Rønnings Jazzmaskin
Egil is a Swedish bassist based in Gothenburg. He combines elements from folk music and free jazz to create his own unique sound, both in his compositions and in his playing.
After studying jazz in Trondheim, together with Martin and Petter, he has toured in Europe and Scandinavia with bands like: «Princess Lea», «Titta Jag Flyver» and «Rønnings Jazzmaskin». He also explores free impro music with groups and artists like «Brute Force» (Japan/Europe tour 2014), «Klockriket» and with Tobias Delius (sax/ clarinet).
Is an Swedish/Norwegian jazz quartet based in Trondheim, Norway.
Starting out in 2011 originally as a tribute to the late great Elvin Jones Jazzmachine, Rønnings Jazzmaskin quickly developed a personal approach to the music and inspired by the sound and attitude started to write original music that embraces the same spirit.
Using elements from contemporary nordic jazz, 60's jazz and avantgarde music, Rønnings Jazzmaskin presents a repertoire full of energy and vitality.
