Info for Six Seasons

„Six Seasons“ is the 14th album by Grzech Piotrowski. „Six Seasons“ contains compositions, which have been appearing during years in different shapes and visions, the connecting idea however came just recently from poem of Jan Twardowski – jest w Polsce Sześć Pór Roku (There are six seasons in Poland) and reflects six (not four) seasons in Polish climate.

Lato (Summer) was included on Sfera Szeptów album under the title Kochanek (Lover) dated 2001.

Przedwiośnie (Spring to Come) was created during Grzech’s trip around Toscana and was performed first in 2011 on the Solidarity of Arts concert.

Wiosna (Spring) is inspired by the history of Wool Factory in Pabianice, where Piotrowski performed in 2014.

In his music Piotrowski referees to the end of XIX century – paying tribute to melancholy of Eric Satie and musical pictures of Maurice Ravel, combining them with very contemporary jazz improvisations.

To achieve this Grzech Piotrowski invited talented friends including: Marcin Wasilewski, Mateusz Smoczyński oraz Krzysztof Lenczowski (Atom String Quartet) or Robert Luty.
