Brooke Fraser
Although originally from New Zealand, Brooke Fraser has become one of the most popular folk-pop artists in her homeland and Australia. In addition to playing huge tour dates in front of thousands of people, Fraser is also well known for playing smaller charity benefits for worthwhile causes. She contributes to the music of Hillsong United on the side, but it's her latest album, Flags, that has brought her success worldwide. Brooke Fraser's newfound international acclaim has allowed for a number of European and UK tour dates in 2011, which are bound to make fans of audiences that haven't yet heard this New Zealand songstress.

Brooke Fraser is the daughter of former All Black wing Bernie Fraser and grew up in Naenae, Lower Hutt. She began singing and playing the piano from a young age and became the editor of the Christian youth magazine Soul Purpose at the age of 17. Two years before, she moved to Auckland to begin a career in music and left her editor position when she signed with Sony Music in 2002. Brooke Fraser's debut album, What to Do with Daylight, was released in 2003 and immediately shot to the top of the charts and went gold inside of a week. The success of the album was followed by two separate, successful tours in New Zealand: One supporting tour dates with John Mayer, and the other supporting David Bowie.

Fraser experienced even more success with the release of Albertine in 2006. The album went double platinum inside a month in New Zealand and was her first album to be released in the US (two years later), debuting at #99 on the Billboard charts. This was followed by tour dates throughout the US, further cementing her popularity in the country. Brooke Fraser continued her rise to fame after releasing her third album, Flags, in 2010. The album has critics, audiences, and other musicians around the world talking and has done exceptionally well on the iTunes charts, as well as those in New Zealand and Australia.

Fraser then embarked on sold-out concert schedules in New Zealand, Australia, and the US, and has planned many more tour dates in 2011. Brooke Fraser's concert schedule begins on September 13 in Paris, kicking off the European leg of tour dates that will cover cities in Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, to name a few. After playing in Bochum, Germany on October 2, Brooke Fraser will begin briefly touring UK and Ireland. Brooke Fraser's tour dates in 2011 will end on October 11 in Glasgow, so be sure not to miss this rising star on her fall concert schedule.
