Biographie Ensemble Rossignol, Alice Gort-Switynk, Elly van Munste

Ensemble Rossignol
consists of Alice Gort-Switynk (classical voice (soprano) and recorders) and Elly van Munster (chitarrone and guitar). Their refined, enchanting, and musical playing is reminiscent of the nightingale's song.

The duo has performed regularly throughout the Netherlands since 1998, presenting a wide variety of concert programs. Together, they have released four CDs.

In the performance "Dansend Avondrood" (Dancing Evening Red), the Ensemble Rossignol presents works by Luigi Rossi, Barbara Strozzi, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Georg Philipp Telemann, Mauro Giuliani, Louis Spohr, Franz Schubert, Fernando Sor, and Harald Genzmer.

Alice Gort-Switynk works as a teacher and performer, recorder player, and classical singer. She studied recorder at the Enschede Conservatory, classical singing with Caroline Stam and Francine van der Heijden, and received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Music Vocational Training Program in Amsterdam in 2016.

Elly van Munster studied classical guitar with Stanley Noordpool at the Brabants Conservatorium and completed her State Examination in lute in 1994. She performs as a soloist, accompanist for singers and instrumentalists, in ensembles, and regularly performs in baroque operas in the Netherlands and France.
