Info zu Tango Blues
The two-time Latin GRAMMY-nominated Botti will be joined by a quartet of talented New York City jazz scene musicians including guitarist Andrew Baird, pianist Eduardo Withrington, and drummer Tiago Michelin.
Botti -- who plays saxophone, clarinet and flute -- was born in Bell Ville in Cordoba, Argentina. He was nominated for a Latin Grammy at the 14th and 17th annual Latin GRAMMY Awards for Best Tango Album "Tango Nostalgias" in 2013 & "Sax to Tango" in 2016.
In 2007 he records the CD demo “South American Roots” featuring percussionist and drummer Quintino Cinalli (Esperanza Spalding) and pianist Leo Genovese (Esperanza Spalding). This project gains the attention of Maestro Pablo Ziegler (pianist to the late and legendary Astor Piazzolla).

Julio Botti
is a 2-time Latin Grammy nominated artist, composer and saxophonist.
Botti started his music career at age 8, in Cordoba, Argentina where his mother gifted him his first saxophone. Since then, he has scoured the world to refine his skills and discover new and exciting sounds. From nightclubs in Havana to the caves of Madrid, from befriending Buddy Miles to collaborating with Maestro Pablo Ziegler, Botti’s life has been a whirlwind journey, spanning almost 30 years over 3 continents, all in the pursuit to develop and perfect Nuevo Tango – a progressive form of Jazz Tango. Julio is completing a transatlantic voyage from New York City to Spain, to again see what the world has to offer.
