Originally hailing from Italy, guitarist and composer Andrea Longato has since moved to New York where he’s been sharing his highly original jazz sound. With a career that’s included collaborations across pop, rock, funk and theatre, Andrea has earned a reputation as a versatile and imaginative musician, whose musical vision is truly expansive.

From performing with Broadway star Jeremy Jordan and pop icon Deborah Cox to working alongside Stewart Matthewman of Sade and singer-songwriter Ron Pope, Andrea’s ability to adapt and excel in diverse musical settings has been incredible. His music has even made its way to the soundtracks of Disney Channel and Lifetime productions, showcasing his knack for blending composed and improvised elements into a fluid and engaging sound.

Andrea Longato
is an established guitarist, composer, and producer whose career spans a wide range of musical genres and outlets. With over a decade of experience as a bandleader, Andrea has showcased his original music at countless venues and festivals across Europe and the US.

His original music draws inspiration from notable instrumentalists such as Bill Frisell, Wayne Krantz, and Daniel Lanois, embodying a cross-genre aesthetic that is both contemplative and vibrant.

Andrea recently formed an exciting new trio with renowned musicians Rob Heath (Jim Campilongo, Justin Townes Earle) and Bryan Percivall (Verité, Britney Spears), performing his own compositions alongside unique renditions of pop and rock classics. His live performances are celebrated for their eclectic blend of influences and styles, all anchored by a commitment to improvisation and exploration that is quintessentially jazz. Andrea’s debut full-length album, “Thinking Heart,” has been released in January 2025 to critical acclaim.

As a versatile sideman, Andrea has collaborated with some of the finest artists in the music industry, touring and recording with talents such as Janita, Deborah Cox, JORDY, Annie Bosko, Jeremy Jordan and Ron Pope. His studio work includes long-standing partnerships with notable producers and musicians, including Andrew Horowitz (John Legend), Blake Morgan (James McCartney, Lesley Gore) and Stuart Matthewman (Sade). Andrea’s talents have also extended to Broadway, where he participated in productions like “The Secret Life of Bees” and “Rent.”

In addition to his performance and studio work, Andrea is a skilled composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. As a member of the Recording Academy and ASCAP, he has gained recognition for his writing scope and arranging skills, contributing to a wide array of projects that showcase both his inspired vision and natural versatility.
