Leeds-based singer-songwriter Jake Whiskin has announced his upcoming EP “Over The Edge” will be released on October 2, 2026.
It marks his first project in four years, following the 2022 self-titled debut album. From the EP, he released the second single called “The Mess I've Made” on August 28, 2026, following “Sabbath Deep Cuts”.
“The Mess I've Made” is a song about excess, regret and the negative patterns we can carve out in our own lives.
It was written by Jake Whiskin and produced by James Flannigan.
Recorded it in Los Angeles, the track also draws directly from Jake's long-standing love of Americana.
Jake Whiskin’s music often has that feeling of a well-worn leather jacket – comfortable, familiar, but with an edge that keeps you coming back.

Jake Whiskin
is a songwriter from Leeds, England.
He started releasing music at the end of 2020 & has since released his self-titled, debut album picking up support from from Radio 1's Jack Saunders, The Independent, Clash, gaining over 56million streams on Spotify & playing SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.
He just released his latest single 'Sabbath Deep Cuts' and is set to release a new EP this year.
