Christopher Bono
With aspirations of being a major league baseball player since the age of 3, Christopher Bono spent the good part of his youth chasing the American dream of baseball. After being drafted by the Seattle Mariners and signing to the University of South Carolina, he sustained two major injuries forcing him to quit by his junior year of college.

In the midst of this life-altering event, Christopher discovered a passion for music. While recouping from surgery, he began writing songs on a $99 acoustic guitar purchased at a local pawnshop. Soon after, he was performing at local clubs and open mics, and recorded his first acoustic EP, entitled “Escape”. Since that time, he has finished two other full length recordings, “Of Monkey and Man”, and “Ten Senators and the Rebel Son”.

After spending several years touring, recording and performing as a solo artist, Christopher founded the experimental chamber rock ensemble Ghost Against Ghost, which mixes various styles of psychedelic, ambient and alternative rock with an ever changing instrumentation influenced by popular, electronic, and classical styles.

2012 marks the release of Christopher’s new contemporary instrumental album, “Invocations” featuring the highly original electro-acoustic piece “Fish, Father, Phoenix”.

Recently, Christopher finished a Chamber Orchestra piece entitled, "Bardo" commisioned by Sympho Concerts to performed in June 2012 at the Ann Hamilton Tower in Geyserville, CA. This piece was a unique collaboration with composers Paul Haas and Bora Yoon and featured stage design by Ruth Pongstaphone.

"Bardo" is currently being restaged as a Dance production with plans for performances in 2013. This new version expands the ensemble to include a full string orchestra. A new recording featuring this piece alongside a set of others, is expected by Late Summer of 2013.

At this very moment, Christopher is working diligently at his Apollo 37 Studios in Woodstock, NY to finish an electronic-ambient song cycle album entitled “Οία”, scheduled to be released in the spring 2013.

Christopher is the founder and director of Our Silent Canvas, a multi-media arts collective dedicated to collaboration between unique artists from different educational, cultural, and artistic backgrounds.
