Recognized for his outstanding musical commitment, curiosity and precision of his game, Olivia Gay is one of the bright young generation of French cellists. Born in 1987 in Mulhouse, she went to school in Belfort, and then in Strasbourg and Paris, where she enjoys the teachings of Marc Coppey, the Ysaÿe Quartet or Paul Meyer and Eric Le Sage, in chamber music. She then moved to Germany, where she completed her studies with Jean-Guihen Queyras, Stuttgart and Freiburg before joining the soloist Johannes Moser class in Cologne.
