Joaquín Riquelme
Since 2010 Joaquín Riquelme is member of the Berliner Philharmoniker, with which he has played at the best concert halls and festivals all over the world, always under the best batons: Sir Simon Rattle, Claudio Abbado, Mariss Jansons, Daniel Barenboim, among many others. He began his orchestral career as assistant principal viola in the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, besides some Young orchestras as Youth Orchestra of Murcia.

He has been invited as soloist to perform with orchestras such as Baden-Baden Philharmonie, Asturias Symphony Orchestra, Murcia Symphony Orchestra, Vallès Symphony Orchestra, Youth Spanish National Orchestra, UdK Orkester, Orquesta de Valencia, Orquesta de Extremadura and Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra.

Joaquín Riquelme has offered several recitals not only in Spain but also in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Germany, among other countries.

He has developed an intense chamber music career, playing regularly with highest level musicians, such as Emmanuel Pahud, Daishin Kashimoto, Christian Zacharias, Jörg Widmann and Hartmut Rohde; and taking part of some of the chamber music groups at the Berliner Philharmoniker, such as Violentango, Ensemble Berlin, Philharmonische Oktett, etc., that have taken him through all parts of Europe performing in the most important chamber music festivals: Schwetzingen Festival, Festival de Musique a l´Emperi (Salon de Provence), Festival In Crescendo UdK Berlin, Landsberg Sommerakademie, etc. Also, he has performed in concert halls such as KKL Luzern, Wiener Konzerthaus, Herkulessaal Munich, Philharmonie Luxembourg, etc. He is periodically invited to give masterclasses in Summer Academies such as Shanghai Conservatory, and some Conservatories in Spain.

His first recording as a soloist, performing the Viola Concerto by Salvador Brotons (Eudora Records), obtained great success. He also has recorded for labels such as Eudora Records, rbb Berlin, Bayerische Rundfunk, Spanish National Radio, Cataluña Radio and Naxos.

Next commitments includes concerts as soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra (Manuel Hernández-Silva), Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León (Juanjo Mena), Joven Orquesta de la Generalitat Valenciana (Pablo Rus Broseta), chamber music concerts at the Festival International Salon-de-Provence, Zentrum Paul Klee, etc.

Joaquín Riquelme (Murcia – Spain) began his studies at the Conservatory of Murcia with Pedro J. Navarro and Antonio J. Clares. He studied later at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid after the guidance of Emilio Mateu and Alan Kovacs, graduating with honors. He continued his academic under Hartmut Rohde at the UdK Universität der Kunste (Berlin), obtaining the highest distinctions. Furthermore he attended masterclasses with great maestros like Bruno Giuranna, Ashan Pillai, Jese Levine or Jean Sulem. He has obtained some First Prizes at Viola Competitions, as Villa de Llanes, Tomás Lestan, International Festival Youth Orchestra of Murcia and Ibercaja Schoolarship, among others.

Joaquín Riquelme plays a Domenico Busan Viola “exGiuranna” (1780), thanks to Freunde der Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation.

Enrique Bagaría
Winner of the María Canals International Piano Competition (Barcelona, 2006), Enrique Bagaría was born in Barcelona in 1978 and graduated in piano from the city’s Conservatorio Municipal. During his undergraduate years he also spent some time at the École Normale Alfred Cortot in Paris. He went on to postgraduate studies at Barcelona’s Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu, under the supervision of Stanislav Pochekin, and then at Madrid’s Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, where he worked with Dmitry Bashkirov, Claudio Martínez Mehner and Galina Eguiazarova.

He completed his training with Vadim Sukhanov at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. He also attended masterclasses given by such eminent pianists as Alicia de Larrocha, Josep María Colom, Eliso Virsaladze, Andrzej Jasinski, Ralf Gothóni, Vitaly Margulis, André Watts and Boris Petrushansky.

In recent seasons he has performed at many of the world’s major venues and festivals, including Barcelona’s Palau de la Música Catalana and L’Auditori, Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional and Teatro de la Zarzuela, the Auditorio de Zaragoza, Centro Cultural Miguel Delibes in Valladolid, Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao and Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville; Barcelona’s Ibercamera concerts, the Santander International Festival, Granada’s Festival of Music and Dance and the Festival Castell in Peralada; the St Petersburg Philharmonia, National Philharmonic of Ukraine (Kiev), Salle Cortot (Paris), Teatro Dal Verme (Milan), Academia de España (Rome), Luis Ángel Arango Concert Hall (Bogotá), Oriental Art Center (Shanghai) and National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing), as well as appearing in various concert series in cities such as New York, Chicago, Brussels and Munich.

Enrique Bagaría has also appeared as soloist with the Mariinsky Orchestra, Wiener KammerOrchester, Salzburger Kammerphilharmonie, Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá and most of the Spanish symphony orchestras, including the Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta de Valencia, Castilla y León and Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (OBC), under the baton of such distinguished conductors as Valery Gergiev, Vasily Petrenko, Yoon Kuk Lee, Francisco Rettig, Pedro Halffter, Eduardo Portal, Salvador Brotons and Manuel Galduf, among others.

A keen chamber musician, he regularly collaborates with musicians from the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, including Lucas Macías Navarro, Guilhaume Santana, Vicent Alberola and José Vicente Castelló. Other chamber music partners include the Elias String Quartet, Cuarteto Quiroga, Stefano Canuti, Erez Ofer, Alexandre da Costa and Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Josep Colomé, Alejandro Bustamante and Pau Codina.

Enrique currently teaches at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (CSMA) in Zaragoza and at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona.
