Info for Shadow Kingdom

"Shadow Kingdom" presents Dylan with several songs from his legendary back catalogue in new interpretations - including fan favourites such as "Forever Young" and "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" as well as select catalogue gems such as "Queen Jane Approximately" and "The Wicked Messenger". Originally recorded for an exclusive streaming film event that aired for a limited one-week period in July 2021 only, "Shadow Kingdom" is available for the first time on HIGHRESAUDIO. The album's setlist includes 13 original songs that Dylan personally selected for his performance in "Shadow Kingdom", as well as the closing instrumental "Sierra's Theme".

"Dylan shows again and again how much one stays up to date even as a notorious living legend." (Joachim Hentschel, Süddeutsche Zeitung)

"...the relaxed, session-like recordings with predominantly acoustic instruments captivate with their tremendous freshness and closeness..." (Good Times)

"The songs, arranged semi-acoustically for this occasion, are downright beguiling. ›Tombstone Blues‹ as a decelerated recitative is one of the highlights, a ghostly ›What Was It You Wanted‹ is another." (Maik Brüggemeyer, Rolling Stone Germany)

"He hasn't sounded better in decades." (Chris Willman, Variety USA)

"The entire show was breath-taking delight after breathtaking delight, and the only downer was that it was over in just 50 minutes." (Andy Greene, Rolling Stone USA)
