Info for Poster Child (Deluxe)
Unapologetic, nostalgic, and brimming with pop-punk spirit, Taylor Acorn release a deluxe version of her sophomore album "Poster Child". The record follows her breakout 2024 release Survival in Motion and marks her first project since signing with the iconic label after nearly a decade of releasing music independently.
Poster Child is an album of reflection and rediscovery. For the first time, Taylor Acorn found themselves writing alone, shaping songs in their living room that spoke directly to personal healing, identity, and resilience. Tracks like “Hangman” transform real struggles, from autoimmune illness to the mental toll of constant performance, into cathartic anthems of endurance. Elsewhere, “Crashing Out” captures the joy of live energy reborn, a reminder that even in the most vulnerable moments, there’s power in moving forward.
Taylor Acorn is one of those rare musicians for whom the urge to be on stage is less a profession than an inner calling. Growing up in northern Pennsylvania, where she formed her first pop-punk band as a teenager, she decided early on to turn her back on a predictable life on the track and embrace an uncertain one on stage. She swapped a track and field scholarship for smoke-filled rehearsal rooms, local club gigs and endless shifts in restaurants – a path that sounds more like perseverance than glamour. Yet it was precisely this tenacity that shaped an artist whose voice now touches hundreds of thousands of people.
The turning point came in 2014 when she moved to Nashville. There, Acorn met producer Dan Swank, who shared her passion for early 2000s pop-punk. What began as a creative symbiosis became the driving force behind a new sound: raw, vulnerable, yet powerful and surprisingly timeless. Her first viral covers opened the doors to a global fanbase that recognised itself in her uncompromising honesty. With *Survival In Motion* in 2024, Acorn presented her artistic vision to a wider audience for the first time. Her latest album, *Poster Child*, now marks not only a musical evolution but also a turning point: After nine years as an independent artist, Acorn has signed to Fearless Records. The new songs sound like flashbacks to a youth one never quite leaves behind – from the rousing anthem “People Pleaser” to the quiet, almost disarming “Masquerade”.

Taylor Acorn
is a singer-songwriter whose emotionally raw music has connected with fans around the world. Originally from Northern Pennsylvania, she started performing in a pop-punk band as a teen before trading in a track and field scholarship for a shot at music. After years of grinding—playing local shows, posting YouTube covers, and working at restaurants—she eventually signed a publishing deal and moved to Nashville. There, a chance creative partnership with producer Dan Swank reignited her love for early 2000s pop-punk, leading to viral covers and a genre-bending breakout moment. Acorn’s path hasn’t been easy, but her resilience and authenticity shine through in her lyrics, live shows, and the deep connection she builds with her audience.
