Jazz pianist Lafayette Harris Jr. is releasing his eleventh album, All in Good Time, which promises to maintain the bar set by his 2023 album, Swingin' Up in Harlem. Swinging, was hailed as "top-dollar" by All About Jazz, who said, "it simply does not get much better than this".
This time, Harris is joined by Kenny Davis on bass and Jerome Jennings on drums. Recorded at the historic Van Gelder Studio, the album also features special guests: Jeremy Pelt, one of the most in-demand jazz trumpeters, and the distinguished senior statesman of the tenor saxophone, Houston Person.
All in Good Time flows like a river through the music's history, offering a detailed map across the musical landscape for fans attuned to both tradition and originality.
