Info for In My Mind

The second Junge album, it is a group of songs composed during the previous ten years, where his guitar couldn’t sound more elegant accompanying his warm voice and enhancing a very cozy atmosphere.

„In My Mind“ was recorded in the summer of 2013, in Studio Master, Santiago de Chile with his band - Marcelo Aedo, Carlos Cortés, Cristóbal Platz and Tito Pezoa, and music guests Soledad Guerrero and Jacqueline Junge, by the British recording engineer Barry Sage.

Walter Junge
A self-taught musician on guitar and vocals, the composer Walter Junge in the late 60s joined one of the most pioneering groups of the time in Chilean rock - Kissing Spell, who later changed their name to Embrujo. The following decade he moved to London where he started to write music, inspired by artists like Donovan, John Martyn, Roxy Music, Pink Floyd, and Talking Heads, amongst others. In London he collaborated with local musicians and performed in various London pubs. On his return to Chile in 1982 he formed the group Compañía Limitada, and together they performed on television shows and popular venues in Santiago. It wasn’t until a few years later however, that Junge recorded his first solo álbum at Master Studios, Santiago. The album titled Quebrando el Silencio (Breaking the Silence, 1988) was recorded with the collaboration of Olea Rodolfo, Ernesto Holman, Cordech, and Jaime Juan Riquelme. Never stopping composing, in 2013 he returned to the studio with a collection of warm songs that he recorded for the CD In my Mind, with Marcelo Aedo, Carlos Cortes, Tito Pezoa, y Cristobal Platz. The album was produced by Clara Silva and Barry Sage.
