Here presenting his debut album, Oleg Shebeta-Dragan came to international attention in the spring of 2022 as winner of the clarinet category at the Carl Nielsen International Competition in Odense, where he also claimed the Special Prize of the Odense Symphony Orchestra and the Junior Jury Prize. For his debut recording, Oleg Shebeta-Dragan is once again joined by the Odense Symphony for works by Busoni, Milhaud and Francaix, along with Nielsen's dynamic, intense, unpredictable and emotionally charged Clarinet Concerto.

Oleg Shebeta-Dragan
studied at the National Music Academy of Ukraine with Roman Vovk, at the Musikhochschule Lübeck with Reiner Wehle and now studies at the same institution with Jens Thoben. He has occupied the principal clarinet chair of the National Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and of the I Culture Orchestra in Poland. With the Chamber Orchestra of Hanover, he gave the world premiere performance of the Concerto Breve by Nicolas Bacri. Oleg is a laureate of the Silverstein Global Clarinet Competition (Grand Prize) and the Kharkiv International Clarinet Competition (First Prize). He has been selected to participate in the 2022 Prague Spring Festival Competition.
