Info for Plan C

Strom & Wasser have achieved a masterpiece: in a time of social division and hysteria and rising hostility, the formation around bassist and singer Heinz Ratz has produced an album that comes across so casually that, after listening to it, you can look out into the world full of optimism and serenity. These songs seem to be a hymn to lightness, containing not only tango (Kaufmännischer Ratschlag), rocking hip hop (Kalles Kompanie), waltzing hardcore (Ostseeeeentspannung) and lilting grooves (Schöner Warten), but also beautiful love songs, even with unusual recipients, such as a disused chewing gum vending machine or the angry indie wake-up call ‘Feuer’, a fervent commitment to freedom and democracy. Anyone who knows Ratz, who knows about the band's spectacular commitment, who has experienced their absolutely credible attitude, e.g. last summer, when Ratz spontaneously organised 26 democracy festivals to support the democratic structures in the state elections in Thuringia, Saxony and Brandenburg, will be delighted with this life-affirming, musically playful and now fifteenth release by the accomplished and constantly reinventing band.
