Biography Josh Wynter

Josh Wynter
is a British pianist and composer based in Cape Town, South Africa.

His classical training beginning as head chorister of Chichester Cathedral, but being the son of a 1960s pop star naturally bestowed a passion for contemporary styles and artists that has fuelled demand for his incredibly diverse scores for television and film, all of which delve generously deep into both spheres of the musical diaspora.

Original scores for international award-winning television series Ocean Adventurer, Neill Anthony Private Chef, Sarah Graham’s Food Safari, Bitten: Sarah Graham Cooks Cape Town have successfully employed styles that range from sweeping epic orchestral works to cutting edge electronica.

An international Music and Sound Award nominated (and Cannes Lion-winning) advert scored by Josh Pearl & Dean ‘Tumbleweed’ was recorded in 1950s Western style live in Cape Town with full orchestra and other prominent television adverts for Emirates, Mazda, KWV, JC Le Roux, Woolworths Australia and ExxonMobil are more recent examples of Josh’s ability to embrace and harness the power of musical diversity.
