Gabriel Urgell Reyes
is graduated from the High School of Arts of Havana, Bachelor of Music - Concert Pianist mention, where he received the education of the pianist Teresita Junco. He won several international competitions, such as the International Piano Award Frechilla-Zuloaga in Valladolid. In 2004 he was unanimously admitted at the Conservatoire de Paris in the Hervé Billaut’s class and was awarded with the Blüthner Prize.
Developing new musical experiences he started to engage in interactive concerts with the audience. His activity as a composer has been fully displayed as part of the electro-acoustic music ensemble The Noise Consort. Member of SACEM, he is also Artistic Director of the International Festival Les Millénaires de Vixouze.
