Biography Splashgirl & Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe

Splashgirl
is three good friends, the three creative, young norwegian musicians Andreas Stensland Lowe (piano/electronics), Jo Berger Myhre (doublebass/tone generator) and Andreas Lonmo Knudsrod (drums/percussion/sounds), playing their own music inspired by any number of musical genres. Doors is the band’s fourth and most acclaimed album. Keys. (AIM 2007, Arbor (Hubro 2009), Pressure(Hubro 2011), and Field Day Rituals (2013) – performed a lot of concerts across Europe, USA, Japan and collaborated with musicians such as Sidsel Endresen and Jan Bang, Eyvind Kanng, Mari Kvien Brunvoll and Randall Dunn. Randall Dunn produced their latest album, Field Day Rituals. Recording Studios, Seattle, was released to huge acclaim worldwide by HUBRO on February 1, 2013. The group is making a huge leap forward with Field Day Rituals. Despite the somewhat reserved and viscous nature of the music, the album is rich in detail, dramatic, and full of atmosphere. Although it’s been called doom piano, drone jazz and a Splashgirl album, the most important thing is Splashgirl’s remarkable ability to create overwhelming music that sets them apart from other piano trios.
