Anne-Sophie Bertrand
Born in France, Anne-Sophie studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Prof Skaila Kanga, at Brüssels Köniklijk Konservatorium and with the great Harp Pedagogues, Germaine Lorenzini and Catherine Michel. She is a Prize Winner from Cardiff International Harp Contest and is Associate of the Royal Academy of music, where she joined the outstanding teaching team as Visiting Professor in 2018.

Solo Harpist with hr- Sinfonieorchester since 2000, an orchestra whith an outstanding reputation worlwide, Anne-Sophie has toured as a guest with major European Orchestras and worked with reknowned conductors all over the world.

Solo appearances include concerts at the International Art Festivals in Peking, Mozarts Flute and Harp Concerto at the Weilburg Festival, Recitals at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, the Bolivar Hall in Caracas and St David’s Hall in Cardiff.

Sought after for a teaching qualities, Anne-Sophie teaches at the Akademie für Tonkunst in Darmstadt and is regularly invited to give Masterclasses in famous institutions such as the Hochschule für musik in Freiburg, Brssels Conservatoire or the Guildhall for Music and Drama in London and serves as a Jury Member in Bloomington Harp International Competition or at the Concours Francais de la harpe.

A guest with International Festivals such as Campos da Jordao in Sao Paulo, the International Festival in Prussia Cove, the World Harp Congress, das Cresc Festival, Anne-Sophie is passionate about the chamber music repertoire for harp.

Prizewinner with three international competitions for the interpretation of new music, Anne-Sophie wishes to intergrate a contemporary Premiere in each of her programms.

She has worked with such conductocomposers such as Mauricio Kagel, Pierre Boulez, Heinz Holliger, Matthias Pintscher, Nimrod Borenstein.
