Raphaël Pidoux
began his musical studies with the piano. He learned the cello with his father and entered Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris at age 17.
He obtained a First Prize in 1987 and enrolled in Philippe Muller’s class for graduate studies.
He then joined Jean-Claude Pennetier’s class on chamber music advanced skills, and Christophe Coin’s class on Baroque cello.
He studied under the direction of Janos Starker in Bloomington (USA) in 1989. He is prize-winner of the Bach cello competition in Leipzig.
As the same time as his career with the Trio Wanderer, Raphaël Pidoux frequently plays with Christophe Coin, the Ensemble Orchestral de Limoges and the Mosaïques Quartet as well as with orchestras as Les Siècles Orchestra, the Rouen’s orchestra… He gives concerts of Piazzola repertoire with the accordeonist Richard Galliano and in 2009, he plays in the Noureev choregraphy “Bach Suite” with Kader Blarbi at the Opéra de Paris”
Raphaël Pidoux is Professor of cello at the Paris Conservatoire national supérieur de Musique. Raphaël Pidoux has opened with his Trio Wanderer’s colleagues, a piano trio class at the Paris’ CRR which prepares ensembles for concerts and international competition.

Tanguy de Williencourt
French pianist Tanguy de Williencourt has received the highest accolades from the press in his native country: “a complete musician” (Michel Le Naour, Concertclassic), “pianistic authority and rich colours” (Alain Cochard) while La Croix predicted him to become one of the “future greats of the piano”.
After graduating from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in piano, chamber music, accompaniment and vocal coaching, Tanguy de Williencourt has been able to count on the support from both the Blüthner and Banque Populaire Foundations, as well as Prizes from the Société des Arts de Genève, ADAMI (Classical revelation), SPEDIDAM and awarded a Prize at Philharmonie de Paris/Orchestre de Chambre de Paris joint Play-Direct competition, all in 2016. Parallel to this, he had the privilege to work closely with Maria João Pires, Christoph Eschenbach, Stephen Kovacevich and Paul Badura-Skoda.
Tanguy has since pursued a very active career, both in France and abroad: Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium du Musée d’Orsay, Maison de Radio France, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Opéra de Lille, Auditorium de Bordeaux, Grand Théâtre de Provence, St-Petersburg Philharmonie, Berlin Philharmonie, Bonn Opera, Palazetto Bru-Zane, Folle Journée à Tokyo, and festivals such as Yehudi Menuhin, Gstaad, Chopin, Nohant, Radio France, Montpellier, Pablo Casals, Prades, La Chaise-Dieu, La Vézère, Solistes in Bagatelle, Chorégies in Orange, Abbaye de Royaumont, La Folle Journée in Nantes, La Roque d’Anthéron and Lille Piano Festival. In 2017, he was on television for the French classical music awards (Victoires de la Musique Classique).
His discography includes: for Mirare, the complete piano transcriptions by Wagner/Liszt (Mirare), as well as all of Beethoven Bagatelles, highly acclaimed in the French National press with 5* reviews in both Classica and Diapason magazines. Tanguy has also recorded 3 CDs with cellist Bruno Philippe, 1 for Evidence Classics (Brahms and Schumann) and 2 (Beethoven/Schubert and Prokofiev) for Harmonia Mundi, for which he released two further albums: Berlioz with mezzo-soprano Stéphanie d’Oustrac and “Debussy: the late works”, which won both the BBC Music Magazine Award and the Gramophone Award in 2019.
