Ensemble Arava
Biography Ensemble Arava
Ensemble Arava
consists of four musicians, on three instruments, of two nationalities, who wish to share their love for Baroque music with the rest of the world. Plenty of music has been written for soprano, violin and continuo, but it is not heard often enough. It is our aim to bring this music to life.
All of us enhoy alternating between being chamber music partners and a soloist, and this is reflected in our divers programs.
Aiming for an atmosphere where artist and audience can connect on a personal level, we guide through our concerts with creative explanations that allow the public to enter into the world of the music they are listening to.
In Frankfurt, Germany, we were awarded with the first prize as well as the audience prize at the First International Competition for Concert Explanation and Presentation 2017. Our ensemble was praised both for its high-quality artistic level and its creative presentation.
We were awarded a special prize at the H.I.F. Biber – Fiori Musicali Competition in Austria in 2017. In 2018, we performed in the Resonanzen Festival in the Konzerthaus Vienna and in 2019 at the Innsbrucker Tage für Alte Musik.
In 2015, we were musical ambassadors for the UNESCO City of Music, Hanover, Germany in the festival Día de la Música in Seville, Spain.
The members of our ensemble have been awarded numerous prizes (XXI. Bach Competition for harpsichord, Leipzig, Pietro Antonio Cesti Competition, Innsbruck) and perform in renowned venues worldwide.
