Bonfire
Biography Bonfire
Bonfire
are without doubt one of the most important German hard rock bands of the past 50 years. In their most successful phase with the album classics 'Fireworks' (1987), 'Point Blank' (1989) and 'Don't touch the Light' (1991), the group was one of the three most internationally respected bands in the country alongside the Scorpions and Accept, including triumphs across Europe and overseas, celebrated tours with Judas Priest and ZZ Top, gold records, high chart positions, TV appearances and more than 35 million clicks on YouTube for their hit 'You Make Me Feel' alone. The band's trademarks are and always have been deeply melodic hard rock songs, driven by captivating guitar work, grooving rhythms and catchy vocal melodies.
To this day, band founder/guitarist Hans Ziller and his first-class band regularly delight their fans with new releases and thrilling shows. Their current album 'Higher Ground' will be released on January 24, 2025, a powerful prime example of the brilliant songwriting and unbridled joy of playing of the musicians involved. To shorten the wait until the album release, the first pre-release single, 'I Died Tonight', will be released on October 22, 2024, including a video, followed by the second single 'I Will Rise' on November 19, 2024 and the ballad 'When Love Comes Down' on January 6, 2025, also with a video worth watching.
Almost parallel to the release date of the new album, Bonfire will be going on a major tour of Germany, Holland and Switzerland from January 21, 2025. In addition, a number of festival shows are planned for next summer, and the second part of the 'Higher Ground' tour will start in autumn 2025. Hans Ziller is already counting down the days until his band is finally back on stage. He says: "I'm really looking forward to the 'Higher Ground' tour. Bonfire in 2025 are a close-knit group with outstanding musicians who give everything for this band. We were already able to triple the number of visitors on the 2023 'Origins' tour, so I expect completely sold-out concerts for 2025 with the great new album. The fire is back, and massively so!" If you want to see this for yourself, you should definitely secure a concert ticket now!
